| Purpose |
| The purpose of this skills programme is to provide the learner with the knowledge, skills and strategies to assist them to effectively assess individuals for the achievement of outcomes and specified criteria. The learner will understand the principles of outcomes-based assessment and will be able to apply the various steps of a credible assessment process. The learner will gain the skills required to prepare, conduct and evaluate assessment as well as the techniques of constructive feedback. The programme also exposes the learner to the NQF system, assessment procedures, recognition of prior learning and the development of a Portfolio of Evidence. |

At the completion of the programme, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding of outcomes-based assessment
- Prepare for assessments
- Conduct assessments

| It is assumed that the learner will have evaluative expertise within the area of learning in which they intend to assess. If you have already done equivalent training, we can provide you with the credits through a RPL process. |
