LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE – GRADUATION 2009
At a recent Graduation Ceremony hosted by the Leadership Development Institute, successful Learners from the Management Development Programme and the Emerging Leaders Programme, facilitated in 2008, received their Certificates from Mr Luvo Gazi, Provincial Manager of the ETDP SETA.
The Guest speaker Mr John Ross-Smith, recently retired MD of Johnson & Johnson, outlined the new skills required to lead in a rapidly changing environment. Amongst these are: the ability to create a vision, being self-confidant and humble, whilst at the same time being a good communicator and having a genuine liking for people. Consistency in behaviour and the application of values and being culturally aware are also qualities that he highlighted which would assist future Leaders to inspire those around them. |
