Workbench Fundraiser: Wheelie Bin Push 2011

Once again, Richard Patten demonstrated true grit, determination and character as he embarked on another epic challenge to raise money for the Workbench Centre in Parkridge.

This time he opted to push a Wheelie Bin around East London covering a distance of 100km within a 24hour time limit. No mean feat but Richard fronted up and succeeded with great support from some loyal LDI friends.

This endeavour managed to raise slightly over R 30 000 which once again will go towards the ongoing maintenance programme at the Workbench. Sincere thanks to everyone who involved themselves in this worthwhile exercise.

Workbench Fundraiser: PE EL Cycle Challenge 2010

Richard Patten recently completed a gruelling 300km non-stop cycle from Port Elizabeth to East London in an effort to raise funds for The Workbench Centre in EL Richard who completed the LEAD Programme in 1994 has remained a committed supporter of all LDI initiatives with respect to the Centre which we have been supporting since 1993.

South African Police Services Graduation - 02 Nov 2007

35 Members of the South African Police Services received Certificates signifying their successful completion of an Advanced Project Management Course recently. The two programmes, facilitated by The Leadership Development Institute , ran over a six month period with one intake from the East London/Bhisho area and the other cohort coming from Port Elizabeth were funded by the European Union.
